Dorothy Bussy was an English novelist and translator, close to the Bloomsbury Group.

John de Mowbray, 2nd Duke of Norfolk, 3rd Earl of Nottingham, 8th Baron Mowbray, 9th Baron Segrave KG, Earl Marshal was an English nobleman and soldier. He was a younger son of the first Duke of Norfolk and Lady Elizabeth Fitzalan, but inherited his father's earldom of Norfolk when his elder brother rebelled against King Henry IV and was executed before reaching the age of inheritance. This and the fact that his mother lived to old age and held a third of his estates in dower, meant that until the last few years of his life he was, although an important political figure, poorly-off financially.

Nicolas Turquois is a French politician of the Democratic Movement (MoDem) who has been serving as a member of the French National Assembly since the 2017 elections, representing the department of Vienne.

Sir Peter James Torry is a British former diplomat who was the UK Ambassador to Germany from 2003 until 30 September 2007. He is now a senior adviser to Cairn Capital and to STAR Capital Partners. He is on the Supervisory Board of Blohm and Voss AG. He is a member of the advisory board of Betfair plc and of the Kiel Global Economic Symposium and a policy fellow of the Institute on the Future of Employment in Bonn. He was a member of the advisory panel of Lloyds Pharmacy until April 2010 and a senior adviser to DAM Capital until December 2009, to Centrica plc until 2012 and to Celesio AG. He was educated at Dover College and New College, Oxford where he won a blue for Rugby.

Lucy Everest Boole FRIC was an Irish chemist and pharmacist who was the first woman to research pharmacy in England. She was the first female professor at the London School of Medicine for Women in the Royal Free Hospital, and the first female Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chemistry.

William Parr, 1st Marquess of Northampton, 1st Earl of Essex, 1st Baron Parr, was the only brother of Queen Catherine Parr, the sixth and final wife of King Henry VIII. He was a "sincere, plain, direct man, not crafty nor involved", whose "delight was music and poetry and his exercise war" who co-authored a treatise on hare coursing. He was in favour with the first two successive Protestant Tudor monarchs, Henry VIII and his son Edward VI, under whom he was the leader of the Protestant party, but having supported the desire of the latter to be succeeded by the Protestant Lady Jane Grey, was attainted by the Catholic Queen Mary, but was restored by her half-sister and Protestant successor Queen Elizabeth I. He married thrice but died without issue.
