Günter Helmut Baumann is a German politician and member of the CDU. An engineer by profession, Baumann has been a member of the Christian Democratic Union since 1972 until that party merged with its West German counterpart in 1990. From 1990 to 1998 he served as the mayor of Jöhstadt. Since 1998, he has been a directly elected member of the Bundestag, representing the constituencies of Annaberg – Stollberg – Zschopau (1998-2002), Annaberg – Aue-Schwarzenberg and Erzgebirgskreis I since 2009.

Lorraine Baumann is a French female badminton player. She started playing badminton at aged 8 with her father and brother Marin Baumann, then in 2011, she joined France national badminton team. In 2015, he became the runner-up of Slovenia International tournament in mixed doubles event with Marin Baumann.

Peter Baumann formed the core line-up of the pioneering German electronic group Tangerine Dream with Edgar Froese and Christopher Franke in 1971. Baumann composed his first solo album in 1976, while still touring with the band, and embarked on a solo career in 1977. He founded the record label Private Music. Since the early 2000s, Baumann has devoted his time to studying and promoting initiatives in science and philosophy that shed light on the human condition.

Eric Baumann is a German professional road bicycle racer for Team NetApp in 2010 and used to ride for the UCI Continental team Team Sparkasse. He secured a contract with T-Mobile Team in 2004, having turned professional with Team Wiesenhof in 2003 and before that riding as amateur for Team Köstritzer.
