Gregory Tiernan is an Irish-born, Canadian-based animator, director and voice artist. Along with his wife Nicole Stinn, he founded Nitrogen Studios Canada, Inc. in 2003, through which he introduced CGI to the Thomas & Friends series. Prior to this, Tiernan collaborated on various projects with filmmaker Don Bluth, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Klasky Csupo, Inc.

In August 2016, he developed his scam app which allowed users to invest in virtual livestock. It eventually had over 350,000 domestic investors and another 150,000 abroad. It is believed he had scammed 1.6 billion Turkish lira from 132,000 people in a single year before disappearing. In 2021, Sedat Peker claimed that Aydın had allies in the Turkish state making sure he would not be brought to justice. Shortly after that, Aydın surrendered to the Turkish Embassy in Sao Paulo.

He initially started out as a recurring cast member, until he was promoted to the regular cast in 2011. Milligan also played the lead role of David in supernatural fantasy show Dead Gorgeous, and made guest appearances in Rush, The Pacific, Winners & Losers, and Arrow. He appeared in the horror film The Gallows Act II, and reprised his Neighbours role after a three-year absence.

He also served as Assistant to the President and White House Cabinet Secretary for United States President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2013, as well as the co-chair of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Lu graduated from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University and from Harvard Law School, where he was a classmate of Obama's.
