Jan Werner Danielsen, known professionally as Jan Werner, was a Norwegian pop singer, also known for his interpretations of musical, classical, and rock standards. He was famous for his powerful voice which stretched over four and a half octaves. His breakthrough came after winning two important talent contests, most notably on national television in the show Talentiaden (NRK) in 1994.

Jaroslav Jan Pelikan Jr. was an American scholar of the history of Christianity, Christian theology, and medieval intellectual history at Yale University.

Naum Zuselevich Shor was a Soviet and Ukrainian mathematician specializing in optimization.

Paul Joseph Arizin, nicknamed "'Pitchin Paul", was an American basketball player who spent his entire National Basketball Association (NBA) career with the Philadelphia Warriors from 1950 to 1962. He retired with the third highest career point total (16,266) in NBA history, and was named to the NBA's 25th, 50th and 75th anniversary teams. He was a high-scoring forward at Villanova University before being drafted by the Warriors of the fledgling NBA.

William Auld was a British (Scottish) poet, author, translator and magazine editor who wrote chiefly in Esperanto.

Hortense Raky was a German-born Austrian stage actress. She also starred in several films including Willi Forst's Court Theatre in 1936. Partly Jewish, she fled from Austria after the Anschluss of 1938 and settled in Switzerland. She returned to Vienna after the Second World War, but was at one point blacklisted due to her links with the Communist Eastern Bloc. At one point she appeared on stage in East Berlin during this era.

Frank Nicholas Stanton was an American broadcasting executive who served as the president of CBS between 1946 and 1971 and then as vice chairman until 1973. He also served as the chairman of the Rand Corporation from 1961 until 1967.

Charles Frederick Mosteller, usually known as Frederick Mosteller, was one of the most eminent statisticians of the 20th century. He was the founding chairman of Harvard's statistics department, from 1957 to 1971, and served as the president of several professional bodies including the Psychometric Society, the American Statistical Association, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the International Statistical Institute.
