List of Famous people who died in 1969

Adolfo Consolini was an Italian discus thrower. He competed at the 1948, 1952, 1956 and 1956 Olympics and finished in 1st, 2nd, 6th and 17 place, respectively. While winning the gold medal in 1948 he set an Olympic record at 52.78 m. Consolini won three European titles, in 1946, 1950 and 1954, and 15 national titles.

Carlo Salamano was an Italian racecar driver. A resident of Turin, in 1923 he drove a FIAT 805 to win the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, the event also serving as the inaugural European Grand Prix; it was the first victory by an automobile equipped with a supercharger in a significant European event. While an official championship had yet to be established, he was considered to be the season champion by historians.

Carlo Speroni was an Italian long-distance runner.

Boris Fyodorovich Schlözer (Schloezer), was a writer, musicologist and French translator of Russian origin.

José Gaos was a Spanish philosopher who obtained political asylum in Mexico during the Spanish Civil War and became one of the most important Mexican philosophers of the 20th century. He was a member of the Madrid School.
