His Holiness Mar Thoma Darmo,, was the Catholicos-Patriarch of the Ancient Church of the East, from 1968 to 1969. Prior to that, he served as Metropolitan of India, from 1952 to 1964, within the Assyrian Church of the East.

Atanasio Ndongo
Atanasio Ndongo Miyone was an Equatoguinean musician, writer and Fang political figure. He wrote the lyrics to Equatorial Guinea's national anthem, Caminemos pisando las sendas de nuestra inmensa felicidad. He was executed in 1969 following a failed coup to depose Francisco Macías Nguema, the first ruler of an independent Equatorial Guinea.
Marian Horsley
Marian Horsley née Edith Marian Bagshaw Mann (1893-1958) was an English badminton player. She came to prominence whilst still at school and with a reputation as a fitness fanatic gained 24 England caps. She competed in the All England Championships winning two titles in 1929 and 1931. Twenty years later she won the Berks, Bucks and Oxon title four times, the last aged 60.
