Émile Jaques-Dalcroze was a Swiss composer, musician, and music educator who developed Dalcroze eurhythmics, an approach to learning and experiencing music through movement. Dalcroze eurhythmics influenced Carl Orff's pedagogy, used in music education throughout the United States.

Guilhermina Suggia
Guilhermina Augusta Xavier de Medim Suggia Carteado Mena, known as Guilhermina Suggia, was a Portuguese cellist. She studied in Paris, France with Pablo Casals, and built an international reputation. She spent many years living in the United Kingdom, where she was particularly celebrated. She retired in 1939, but emerged from retirement to give concerts in Britain. Her last was in 1949, the year before her death.

Camille Danguillaume
Camille Danguillaume was a French cyclist. He won Liège–Bastogne–Liège in 1949. He rode in the 1947, 1948 and 1949 Tour de France. He died of head injuries four days after colliding with two motorcycles at the 1950 French National Road Championships at Montlhéry. He was the uncle of fellow racing cyclist Jean-Pierre Danguillaume.
