Rudolf Hilferding
Rudolf Hilferding was an Austrian-born Marxist economist, socialist theorist, politician and the chief theoretician for the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) during the Weimar Republic, being almost universally recognized as the SPD's foremost theoretician of his century. He was also a physician.
Christian Rakovsky
Christian Georgievich Rakovsky was a Bulgarian-born socialist revolutionary, a Bolshevik politician and Soviet diplomat; he was also noted as a journalist, physician, and essayist. Rakovsky's political career took him throughout the Balkans and into France and Imperial Russia; for part of his life, he was also a Romanian citizen.

Mykhailo Oleksiyovych Burmystenko was a Ukrainian and Soviet politician, who served as the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet Ukrainian SSR from 1938 to 1941. There is a memorial in memory of the Communist politician Mykhailo Burmystenko who fell during the Battle of Kyiv in 1941.

Zinaida Vengerova was a Russian literary critic and translator. She is considered one of the few women who were highly educated during her time, having studied in universities in Russia, France, and England. For her works, she had been described as "a literary ambassador between East and West". She also influenced the first generation of Russian symbolists through her writings about French symbolism.
