Nogi Maresuke
Count Nogi Maresuke , also known as Kiten, Count Nogi, was a Japanese general in the Imperial Japanese Army and a governor-general of Taiwan. He was one of the commanders during the 1894 capture of Port Arthur from China. He was a prominent figure in the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–05, as commander of the forces which captured Port Arthur from the Russians.

Prince Imperial Heung was a prince of the Joseon dynasty and of the Korean Empire. He was the son of Heungseon Daewongun and the elder brother of Emperor Gojong of Korea. By birth, his original name was Yi Jae-myon and the art name was U-seok ; after he acquired the "Prince Imperial" title, his name was changed to Yi Hui on 25 August 1910. Five days later, the Japan–Korea Treaty of 1910 became effective, Yi Hui lost the imperial title and received a title "Duke Yi Hui" instead.
José Eloy Alfaro Delgado
José Eloy Alfaro Delgado was an Ecuadorian politician who served as the President of Ecuador from 1895 to 1901 and from 1906 to 1911. Alfaro became one of the strongest opponents of pro-Catholic conservative President Gabriel García Moreno (1821–1875) and was known as the Viejo Luchador for playing a central role in the Liberal Revolution of 1895 and having fought conservatism for almost 30 years.
