Siegfried Fred Singer was an Austrian-born American physicist and emeritus professor of environmental science at the University of Virginia, trained as an atmospheric physicist. He was known for rejecting the scientific consensus on several issues:

• climate change,
• the connection between UV-B exposure and melanoma rates,
• stratospheric ozone loss being caused by chlorofluoro compounds, often used as refrigerants, and
• the health risks of passive smoking.

Ernst Baier was a German figure skater who competed in pair skating and single skating. He became Olympic pair champion in 1936 together with Maxi Herber. The duo also won several World and European championships.

Norman Dello Joio was an American composer whose output spanned over half a century, and who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1957.

José María López de Letona Núñez del Pino was a Spanish politician who served as Minister of Industry of Spain between 1969 and 1973, during the Francoist dictatorship.

Herta Haas was a Slovene and Yugoslav Partisan during World War II and the second wife of Josip Broz Tito, leader of the Partisans and a future President of Yugoslavia.

Michal Hornstein, was a Polish-born Canadian businessman, art collector and philanthropist.

Zhou Jianren was a politician and biologist of the People's Republic of China. He was the younger brother of Lu Xun and Zhou Zuoren. When the office of the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress was vacant in 1976, Zhou was one of the 20 vice chairmen who administered the position. He also served as the chairman of China Association for Promoting Democracy and the governor of Zhejiang Province. He was a member of the 10th and 11th Central Committees of the Communist Party of China.
