Henri Martre was a French telecommunications engineer. He headed both the Délégation générale pour l'armement, the aerospace conglomerate Aérospatiale and the French Aerospace Industries Association (GIFAS). He was considered one of the main promoters in France of "competitive intelligence".

Remziye Hisar was a Turkish academic and chemist. As the first Turkish woman with a degree from Sorbonne University, she occupied academic positions at various Turkish universities during her career and published numerous articles, mostly on metaphosphates and Turkish herbs. She is considered to be one of the first modern women scientists of Turkey.

Alberto Julio Rayneri Alonso was a Cuban dancer and choreographer, the brother of Fernando Alonso and brother-in-law of Alicia Alonso. He was influential in the development of the Cuban style of ballet, a combination of Russian and Western techniques with a Latin style.
