Julien Freund
Julien Freund, born in Henridorff on 8 January 1921, died in Colmar, on the tenth of September 1993, is a French philosopher and sociologist. Freund was called an "unsatisfied liberal-conservative" by Pierre-André Taguieff, for introducing France to the ideas of Max Weber. His work as a sociologist and political theorist is a continuation of Carl Schmitt's. Freund was like many people born in this region fluent in German, and he therefore published many of his works in both languages. His works have been translated into nearly 20 languages.
James Le Jeune
James Le Jeune RHA was an Irish-Canadian artist who painted portraits, landscapes, and seascapes. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Le Jeune grew up in Dinard in Brittany and later in England. After serving in the British Army in Africa and Italy during World War II, he moved to Ireland in 1950, where he was a regular art exhibitor at the Royal Hibernian Academy until a year before his death.

Charles Guy Fulke Greville, 7th Earl of Warwick, 7th Earl Brooke, was a British peer and the last Earl of Warwick to live at the family seat Warwick Castle before its sale in 1978. He became the first British aristocrat to star in a Hollywood movie, and was later nicknamed the Duke of Hollywood by the local press.
