In 2013, his new single "Tesir Altında" became one of the best-selling singles of 2013. Sandal has won many awards throughout his career. For his album Kop, he was voted the "Best Male Artist" in 2002.

Taiyaki-kun" (1975) with only 50,000 yen, but the single sold 4,547,620 copies and became the best-selling single in Japan, a fact certified by Guinness World Records.
