Robert Leroy Mercer is an American hedge fund manager, former principal investor in the now-defunct Cambridge Analytica, and computer scientist. Mercer was an early artificial intelligence researcher and developer and is the former co-CEO of the hedge fund company Renaissance Technologies.

Kasperi Kapanen is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). He made his Liiga debut playing with KalPa during the 2012–13 SM-liiga season. Kapanen was selected by the Penguins in the first round, 22nd overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. On 1 July 2015, he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs; he was traded back to the Penguins five years later.

He is the Director of Northeast Scientific Station, a senior research fellow of the Pacific Institute for Geography, and one of the founders of Pleistocene Park. He is best known for his work in advocating the theory that human overhunting of large herbivores during the Pleistocene caused Siberia's grassland-steppe ecosystem to disappear and for raising awareness as to the important roles permafrost and thermokarst lakes play in the global carbon cycle.

Beni Takemata is a former Japanese women's professional shogi player who was ranked 1-dan. In December 2018, she announced her intention to retire from professional shogi and leave the Japan Shogi Association at the end of March 2019 to pursue other opportunities as well as to focus on her studies in political science and economics at Waseda University. She is currently managed by Watanabe Entertainment as one of their "Intellectual Tarentos", appearing on Japanese variety shows and making personal appearances.

David Wise is an American freestyle skier. He is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and a four-time X Games Gold Medalist. In 2014, Wise won his third consecutive gold medal at X Games XVIII in Aspen, Colorado, before heading to Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics. There, he became the first Olympic gold medalist in the Men's Freeski Halfpipe, which debuted in the Winter Games that year. In 2018, after struggling both personally and professionally since his win in Sochi, Wise won his fourth gold medal at the X Games just before he left for PyeongChang to defend his Olympic title. After a sub-par qualifying competition that placed him in the fifth drop-in position for the finals, Wise failed to complete each of his first two runs due, in both cases, to a binding malfunction. On his third and final run, Wise completed a career-best run to take the gold medal, the second Olympic gold medal of his career, with a score of 97.20.

Timothy Darrell Russ is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and musician. He is best known for his roles as Lieutenant Commander Tuvok on Star Trek: Voyager, Robert Johnson in Crossroads (1986),and East of Hope Street (1998), Frank on Samantha Who?, Principal Franklin, a recurring character on the Nickelodeon live-action teen sitcom iCarly, and D.C. Montana on The Highwaymen (1987-1988). He is also an amateur astronomer.
