He was the sports director of KHOU in Houston from 1984 until March 31, 2009. He has been a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since April 2013.

Kōji Yamamoto is a former Japanese baseball player and manager of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Japan's Central League.
