Seiichi Eto is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet. A native of Ōita, Ōita and graduate of Oita University, he had served in the city assembly of Ōita for two terms since 1973 and the assembly of Ōita Prefecture for two terms since 1979. He was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1990 after an unsuccessful run in 1986. In 2000 he lost the seat but was re-elected three years later. Sneed played NCAA baseball at Dallas Baptist University before he was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the third round of the 2014 MLB draft. The Brewers traded Sneed to the Houston Astros during the 2015–16 offseason. He made his MLB debut in 2019.
