Olaf II Haraldsson, later known as Saint Olaf, was King of Norway from 1015 to 1028. Son of Harald Grenske, a petty king in Vestfold, Norway, he was posthumously given the title Rex Perpetuus Norvegiae and canonised at Nidaros (Trondheim) by Bishop Grimkell, one year after his death in the Battle of Stiklestad on 29 July 1030. His remains were enshrined in Nidaros Cathedral, built over his burial site. His sainthood encouraged the widespread adoption of Christianity by Scandinavia's Vikings/Norsemen.

Lola Bessis is a French actress, screenwriter and director. She is known for the movie Swim Little Fish Swim, in which she acted and wrote the script.

Philippe II of Alençon was a French cardinal who was a member of the Valois Dynasty. He was the second son of Count Charles II of Alençon, who was killed in the Battle of Crécy, and of Maria de La Cerda y de Lara. He was the younger brother of Count Charles III of Alençon.

Jacques d'Amboise was a French religious dignitary and patron of medieval France. He was abbot of Jumièges then of Cluny, and bishop of Clermont. He was a member of the House of Amboise, an old noble family.

Drogo of Mantes (996–1035) was the count of Valois and the Vexin in the early eleventh century from 1027 to his death. He was the oldest son of Walter II, count of Valois, Vexin and Amiens, and his wife Adela. His father died between 1017 and 1024, leaving Vexin and Amiens to him and Valois to his younger brother Ralph. His capital was Mantes, thus his byname. He married Goda, daughter of King Ethelred the Unready of England and Queen Emma of Normandy and the sister of King Edward the Confessor. Their sons were Walter (Gautier) III, Count of the Vexin, and Ralph the Timid, earl of Hereford.

Natasha Kanapé Fontaine is an Innu poet and actress. Born in Pessamit, Quebec, Fontaine first became noticed in 2012 as part of the Montreal poetry scene. Her first poetry collection, Do Not Enter My Soul in Your Shoes, earned her the 2013 Prize of the Society of Francophone Writers of America; her second, Manifeste Assi, was released in 2014 and debuted at the Étonnants Voyageurs festival. In 2016 she was a guest of honour at the Rimouski Book Fair, alongside Deni Ellis Béchard; the same year, the National Film Board of Canada announced funding for 3 projects as part of the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Canada, including #Legacies150, a photo-essay series Fontaine is contributing to.

Count Walram IV of Nassau-Idstein was a younger son of Count Adolph I of Nassau-Wiesbaden-Idstein and his wife Margaret of Nuremberg. He inherited Nassau-Idstein when his father died in 1370. When his brother Gerlach II died in 1386, he also inherited Nassau-Wiesbaden.
