Dirk II or Theoderic II was a count in West Frisia, and a predecessor of the counts of Holland. He was the son of Dirk I, count in West Frisia, and Geva.

Afonso de Paiva was a Portuguese diplomat and explorer of Ethiopia and the Barbary Coast together with Pêro da Covilhã. According to James Bruce, Afonso left Pêro da Covilhã at Aden, and proceeded to Suakin where he hoped to join a caravan to his destination. The further details of his life are not recorded. Bruce writes, "only that De Paiva, attempting his journey this way, lost his life, and was never more heard of."

René of Savoy was a French nobleman and soldier. He was count of Villars (1497) and of Tende (1501). Known as "the Great Bastard of Savoy", he was the illegitimate son of Philip II, Duke of Savoy and Libera Portoneri - this made him the originator of the Savoie-Villars branch of the House of Savoy.

Marie of Brabant (1277/80–1338), was a Countess Consort of Savoy; married in 1297 to Amadeus V, Count of Savoy. She was the daughter of John I, Duke of Brabant and Margaret of Flanders.

Robert Dalzell, 1st Lord Dalzell (c.1550−1636), known as Sir Robert Dalzell from 1602 to 1628, was a Scottish nobleman who raised to the Peerage as a Lord of Parliament in the Peerage of Scotland on 18 September 1628, by King Charles I.

Renier of Montferrat (1162–1183) was the fifth son of William V of Montferrat and Judith of Babenberg. He became son-in-law of the Byzantine Emperor Manuel I Komnenos and Caesar in 1180, and was later murdered in a Byzantine power-struggle.

Thomas Belasyse, 1st Viscount Fauconberg, styled Baron Fauconberg between 1627 and 1643 and Sir Thomas Belasyse, 2nd Baronet between 1624 and 1627, was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1597 and 1624 and was raised to the peerage in 1627. He was an ardent supporter of the Royalist cause in the English Civil War.

Pareherwenemef was an ancient Egyptian prince of the 20th Dynasty, a son of pharaoh Ramesses III. Just like several of his brothers, he was named after a son of Ramesses II, whom Ramesses III tried to emulate. He is depicted in his father's mortuary temple at Medinet Habu. Both he and his brother Khaemwaset are called firstborn sons of the king; they were possibly the firstborns of different wives. He was buried in QV42.
