Abdulkadir Selvi is a Turkish columnist and journalist, currently working at Hürriyet. He joined Yeni Şafak newspaper in 2001 and worked there for 15 years.

Mir Movsum Agha was a physically challenged person, who was believed to have supernatural powers by the residents of Baku and outskirt villages.

Marino Morikawa is a Peruvian-Japanese scientist. He has a master's degree in Interdisplinary Biodiplomacy and a doctorate in Environmental Sciences from the prestigious Tsukuba University in Japan. His work became well known when a short NatGeo news report featured him for the decontamination process of the small lake El Cascajo in Chancay, Peru, where he grew up as a child, using what he terms as "bubble nanotechnology." He had done research about this process. However, he had never tried it before. His father contacted him when he heard that there were plans to cover it, due to the fact it was contaminated. The recently graduated Morikawa made the decision to travel to his childhood home and decontaminate it himself. Many residents warned him that the lake was so contaminated that he'd get sick, but he paid no heed to their words. The process to decontaminate the lake took him 15 days. Because of his efforts, more than 70 species of birds and fish returned to the area. The residents have also started efforts to take care of the lake.

Sabiha Rıfat (Ecebilge) Gürayman was a Turkish construction engineer and volleyball player. As Turkey's first female civil engineer, she served as chief engineer for 10 years at the construction of Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey. She was the first female volleyball player of Fenerbahçe SK, and the first Turkish woman to engage in the game of volleyball.

Chen Mei-ling is a Taiwanese politician. She was the Minister of National Development Council in 2017–2020 and the Secretary-General of the Executive Yuan in 2016-2017.

Andrew Chiu Ka-yin is a Hong Kong politician, democracy activist, experienced accredited mediator and arbitrator. Abū Yaʿqūb Yūsuf al-Hamadānī, best simply known as Yusuf Hamadani, was a Persian figure of the Middle Ages. He was the first of the group of Central Asian Sufi teachers known simply as Khwajagan of the Naqshbandi order. His shrine is at Merv, Turkmenistan.
