Sebastián de Ocampo was a Spanish navigator and explorer. He is believed to have been the first navigator to have circumnavigated the island of Cuba in 1508.

Salh d'Escola was a troubadour from Bergerac in the Périgord, a former province of France. The meaning of his name, also spelled Sail or Saill, uncertain; it may be an unusual given name. His surname, likewise, may be a family name, but there is no known location called "Escola" that could render it a toponymic. The entire name may be a nickname meaning "defector from school" or "escapee from the cloister", indicating that he quit his education, either in a school or a monastery. On the other hand, it may signify a pedant.

Eugammon of Cyrene was an early Greek poet to whom the epic Telegony was ascribed. According to Clement of Alexandria, he stole the poem from the legendary early poet Musaeus; meaning, possibly, that a version of a long-existing traditional epic was written down by Eugammon. He is said to have flourished 567/6 BC.

Turgesius was a Viking chief active in Ireland during the 9th-century. Turgesius Island, the principal island on Lough Lene, is named after him. It is not at all clear whether the names in the Irish annals represent the Old Norse Thurgestr or Thorgísl. John O'Donovan and Charles Haliday independently identified him with Ragnar Loðbrók, but the identification is not generally accepted.

Pribac Hrebeljanović (Serbian: Прибац Хребељановић was a Serbian Logothete and a part of the Serbian nobility or Vlastela. He held the lands of Prilepac and Prizrenac. During the formation of the Serbian empire many Serb nobles gained higher titles and more land, however Pribac was not offered this. Pribac played a big role in getting his son Lazar of Serbia to the title he bared during the fall of the Serbian empire.
