Edward Dodding was an English physician who completed the post-mortem examination of Kalicho, one of three Inuit who died soon after they were brought to England by Martin Frobisher in 1577. His post-mortem notes on Kalicho are unusually detailed for their time and provide insights into contemporary medical knowledge and the attitudes of the English towards indigenous people.

Isaac Caldiero is an American athlete, rock climber and carpenter, who competed on American Ninja Warrior in seasons five, six, seven, and ten. He is best known for finishing all four stages of the National Finals course in season seven and becoming one of the first three Americans to achieve what is known as "Total Victory". Caldiero was awarded a $1,000,000 cash prize after completing Stage 4 in a faster time than Geoff Britten.

Hoshina Masanao was a Japanese daimyō of the Sengoku period, who served the Takeda clan. He was the successor of his father Masatoshi in the ranks of the senior Takeda retainers, and was given command of 250 cavalry. Masanao was driven out of Takatō Castle following a siege in 1582, but was soon allowed to return through the assistance of the Hojo clan. Following a brief conflict with Tokugawa Ieyasu's forces, Masanao became a Tokugawa retainer, and was allowed to retain Takatō. He took part in the Siege of Odawara Castle under Ieyasu's command, and moved to the Kantō region together with Ieyasu. In the Kantō, Masanao was granted the Tako Domain.

Wolfgang Baldus is a German graphic designer, artist, and philatelic writer. He is known for authoring and publishing books on cinderella stamps in the series History and Background Stories of Unusual Stamps and for his works on the philatelic forgeries and propaganda parodies produced by both sides during the First and Second World Wars.

Katsushika Ōi, also known as Ei (栄), was a Japanese Ukiyo-e artist of the early 19th century Edo period. Her mother was the second wife of Hokusai. Ōi was an accomplished painter who also worked as a production assistant to her father.

Sibusiso Busi Moyo (1960 – 20 January 2021) was a Zimbabwean politician and retired army major general. He was noted for announcing the ousting of Robert Mugabe on national television during the 2017 Zimbabwean coup d'état. He went on to serve as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in the cabinet of Emmerson Mnangagwa from November 2017 until his death.
