Joaquim Peris de Vargas is a former President of FC Barcelona. He was one of the most controversial Presidents in the history of FC Barcelona. He began his career as manager in 1910 as he occupied the vice presidency, a position he held with various presidents. Taking advantage of Pay Àlvar resignation in September 1914, Vargas Peris assumed leadership of FC Barcelona. His spell in charge at the club was marked by constant controversy, because I always wanted to impose his opinion and even got the players rebelling against him. Vargas was famous for his quote: "I am Barcelona." He left the organization at the request of the general assembly of FC Barcelona and he was forced to resign at the end of the season 1914-15.

Job Throckmorton (Throkmorton) (1545–1601) was an English religious pamphleteer and Member of Parliament. Possibly with John Penry and John Udall, he authored the Martin Marprelate anonymous anti-clerical satires; scholarly consensus now makes him the main author.

Basil Rohana Rajapaksa is a Sri Lankan politician and was a member of parliament from 2007 to 2015.During the period of 2005–2010 he served as a presidential senior advisor for then President Mahinda Rajapaksa and in 2007 he was appointed as a member of parliament from the national list. He was the Cabinet minister for Economic Development in President Mahinda Rajapaksa's second term (2010–2015).

Lady Ōnu was a Japanese noblewoman. She was the daughter of Soga no Akae and bunin to Emperor Tenmu, with whom she had three children:

Maria Odette Santos Ferreira was a Portuguese professor of microbiology who played an important role in research on HIV, through the identification of the HIV-2 virus in association with the Pasteur Institute of Paris. She was also the coordinator of the Portuguese programme to fight AIDS, overseeing the "Say no to a second-hand syringe" project, which resulted in the collection and exchange by pharmacies of 43 million used syringes between 1993 and 2008.

Jean Perrottet was a French architect. He was best known for his restorations of Parisian theatres in the 1960s.

Sir John Ashby was an officer of the Royal Navy, who rose to the rank of Admiral. Ashby was the fourth son of Robert Ashby and his wife Alice, who was a sister of Sir Thomas Allin. He grew up in Suffolk where his father was involved in business.
