Henri de Tonti, also spelled Henri de Tonty, was a Sicilian-born French military officer, explorer, and voyageur who assisted René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle, with North American exploration and colonization from 1678 to 1686. De Tonti was one of the first explorers to navigate and sail the upper Great Lakes. He also sailed the Illinois and the Mississippi, which they traveled to its mouth and claimed for Louis XIV of France. De Tonti established the first permanent European settlement in the lower Mississippi valley, known as Poste de Arkansea, making him "The Father of Arkansas."

Hiyori Kon is a Japanese amateur sumo wrestler, who is known for advocating for equal rights for women to compete professionally in Japan. She has been included in the BBC's list of 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2019.

Francisco Antonio Laureana was a young Argentine killed by the Buenos Aires police, who believed him to be a rapist and serial killer called The Satyr of San Isidro, who for a period of six months - from 1974 and 1975 - raped 15 women, of whom he murdered 13. He killed most of victims on Wednesdays and Thursdays near 6:00 P.M.

Owen MacCarthy Reagh (1520–1594) was the 16th Prince of Carbery from 1576 to 1593. He belonged to the MacCarthy Reagh dynasty. Owen was commonly referred to as "Sir" Owen MacCarthy (McCartie) in the English court records.
