Mirosława Danuta Wałęsa, is the wife of the former President of Poland Lech Wałęsa. In 1983 she accepted the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway on behalf of her husband, who feared, at a time of great political upheaval in the country, that the Polish government might not allow him to return if he travelled to Oslo himself. Lech and Danuta have been married since 8 November 1969 and have eight children.

Tshering Phintso "Danny" Denzongpa is an Indian film actor, singer and film director who mainly works in Bollywood films. He has also appeared in Bengali, Nepali, Tamil and Telugu films. He has acted in about 190 Hindi films since 1971. In 2003, Denzongpa was awarded the Padma Shree, India's fourth-highest civilian honour. His film career spans more than 4 decades.

Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Howard was a British Army officer who was twice awarded the Military Cross for gallantry and was later awarded the Distinguished Service Order for leadership whilst commanding the 1st Battalion The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry in the North-West Europe campaign during the Second World War. He later became Laird of the Hebridean island of Gometra.

Paolo Mieli is an Italian journalist who has been editor of Italy's leading newspaper, Corriere della Sera.
