Ary Scheffer was a Dutch-French Romantic painter. He was known mostly for his works based on literature, with paintings based on the works of Dante, Goethe, and Lord Byron, as well as religious subjects. He was also a prolific painter of portraits of famous and influential people in his lifetime. Politically, Scheffer had strong ties to King Louis Philippe I, having been employed as a teacher of the latter's children, which allowed him to live a life of luxury for many years until the French Revolution of 1848.

Ludwig von Bogdandy was a German metallurgist and industrial executive. He was a leading researcher on iron and steel production, and served as CEO of Voestalpine, an international steel based technology and capital goods group based in Linz. He also served as the honorary Hungarian Consul-General in Linz.

Georgios Theotokis was a Greek politician and Prime Minister of Greece, serving the post four times. He represented the New Party or Neoteristikon Komma (NK).

Duncan Franklin Rousseau was a Canadian professional ice hockey forward. He played 135 games in the World Hockey Association (WHA) with the Winnipeg Jets.
