Alfred Ernest Beamish was an English tennis player born in Richmond, Surrey, England. He finished runner-up to James Cecil Parke in the Men's Singles final of the Australasian Championships, the future Australian Open, in 1912. Beamish also partnered Charles Dixon to win the Bronze medal in the indoor doubles event at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. He was runner up in one of tennis early majors, the World Covered Court Championship, in 1921. He also competed at the 1920 Summer Olympics. He was also twice a semifinalist at Wimbledon in 1912 and 1914. Beamish was married to Wimbledon singles semi finalist Winifred Beamish.

Pauline Betz Addie was an American professional tennis player. She won five Grand Slam singles titles and was the runner-up on three other occasions. Jack Kramer has called her the second best female tennis player he ever saw, behind Helen Wills Moody.

Thomas Burdett Money-Coutts, 7th Baron Latymer was an English peer. He inherited the title Baron Latymer from his father, Hugh Burdett Money-Coutts, 6th Baron Latymer.

Kjell Westö is a Finnish author and journalist. Westö writes in Swedish. Best known for his epic novels set in Helsinki, he has also written short stories, poetry, essays and newspaper columns.

Emmanuel Arago was a French politician of the French Second Republic, Second French Empire and French Third Republic. He was the son of François Arago. He was a member of the 1848 Constituent Assembly and the National Assembly of 1871. He was a deputy for Pyrénées-Orientales and la Seine (1869–1870) and senator for Pyrénées-Orientales (1876–1896). He served as minister of the interior and minister of justice in the Government of France. He was ambassador of France to Switzerland.

Christophe Marchand is a retired freestyle swimmer from France. He competed at two consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1988. He twice claimed the gold medal at the Mediterranean Games in the men's 400 metres freestyle event.
