Akira Noguchi was a Japanese baseball pitcher, infielder, catcher, and manager who played 15 total seasons in the Japanese Baseball League and then Nippon Professional Baseball, during the period 1936 to 1955. The rare two-way player, Noguchi was particularly unusual in that he excelled in the specialized positions of both pitcher and catcher.

Alfred Tennyson, 1st Baron Tennyson was a British poet. He was the Poet Laureate during much of Queen Victoria's reign and remains one of the most popular British poets. In 1829, Tennyson was awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medal at Cambridge for one of his first pieces, "Timbuktu". He published his first solo collection of poems, Poems Chiefly Lyrical in 1830. "Claribel" and "Mariana", which remain some of Tennyson's most celebrated poems, were included in this volume. Although decried by some critics as overly sentimental, his verse soon proved popular and brought Tennyson to the attention of well-known writers of the day, including Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Tennyson's early poetry, with its medievalism and powerful visual imagery, was a major influence on the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.

Kushimaumi Keita, born as Keita Kushima, was a sumo wrestler from Shingū, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. A successful amateur, his highest rank in professional sumo was maegashira 1. After his retirement he became an elder of the Japan Sumo Association and established Tagonoura stable.

Ana Sofia Lopes Malhoa Moreira known as Ana Malhoa is a Portuguese singer-songwriter, TV host, actress and businesswoman. She started her career performing with her father José Malhoa, a popular Portuguese singer, in 1985. With her father, she released seven extended plays between 1986 and 1995. At age of 15 she was cast the host of the children's variety show Buéréré, releasing albums with platinum status and becoming a pop icon in the lusophone countries. In 2000, she released her first studio album, and since then she is the best selling pop artist in Portugal, with sales of over 630,000 copies.

Deborah Nowalski Kader, better known by her stage name Debi Nova, is a Costa Rican singer-songwriter who resides in Los Angeles.

Jean-Claude Étienne was a French politician, and a member of the Senate of France. He represented the Marne department and is a member of the Union for a Popular Movement Party.

José Alfonso Morera Ortiz, commonly known by his artist name, El Hortelano, was a painter. He was influential in the countercultural movement known as the Movida Madrileña, along with artists like Ouka Leele, Ceesepe, Guillermo Pérez Villalta, film director Pedro Almodóvar, singer Alaska, and photographer Alberto García-Alix. El Hortelano's style of painting evolved over time, and this evolution includes a distorted figurative period, a romantic period of orange tonalities, and, later, a period where lyricism and naturalism were emphasized. Considered one of the most important Spanish artists of his generation, he was awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts on November 3, 2010.

Andrés Eloy Blanco Meaño was a noted Venezuelan poet and politician. He was a member of the Generación del 28, and one of the founders of Acción Democrática (AD). He was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela from 15 February 1948 until 24 November 1948.
