Hubert Pilčík was a Czechoslovak serial killer. After the Second World War, Pilčík started smuggling people across the border from Czechoslovakia into West Germany. He started killing his customers in 1948, when he was in his fifties. After his capture, Pilčík committed suicide in a prison in Plzeň on September 9, 1951. He was accused of five murders, although the exact number of his victims is unknown. It is possible he killed tens of people.

Jaroslav Kvapil was a Czech composer, teacher, conductor and pianist.

František Bartoš was a Moravian ethnomusicologist, folklorist, folksong collector, and dialectologist. He is viewed as the successor of František Sušil, the pioneer of Moravian ethnomusicology. He notably organized the collecting, categorizing and editing of hundreds of Moravian folksongs which were published is a four volume collection along with about 4000 folksongs from other ethnic traditions. The folksongs appear in ethnographic monographs and the work as a whole is viewed as one of the most important folk song collections ever published. However, Bartoš, like many other early European folk music scholars, sometimes changed the texts of the folk songs, thereby reducing the documentary value of the work.

Ondřej Čelůstka is a Czech professional footballer who plays as a defender for Czech First League club Sparta Prague. He is a member of the Czech Republic national team and represented the under-21 team at the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship.

Franz Xaver Richter, known as François Xavier Richter in France was an Austro-Moravian singer, violinist, composer, conductor and music theoretician who spent most of his life first in Austria and later in Mannheim and in Strasbourg, where he was music director of the cathedral. From 1783 on Haydn’s favourite pupil Ignaz Pleyel was his deputy at the cathedral.
