Aníbal Sánchez
Aníbal Alejandro Sánchez Jr. is a Venezuelan professional baseball player who is a free agent. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2006. He has played in MLB for the Florida / Miami Marlins, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals. On September 6, 2006, in his 13th career Major League start, Sánchez pitched a no-hitter against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Tareck El Aissami
Tareck Zaidan El Aissami Maddah is a Venezuelan politician serving as Minister of Industries and National Production since 14 June 2018, and as Minister of Petroleum since 27 April 2020. He previously was Minister of the Interior and Justice from 2008 to 2012, Governor of Aragua from 2012 to 2017 and Vice President of Venezuela from 2017 to 2018. While holding that office, El Aissami faced allegations of participating in corruption, money laundering and drug trafficking. In 2019, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) added El Aissami to the ICE Most Wanted List, listed by the Homeland Security Investigations unit.
Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa
Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa, was a Venezuelan politician. A founder of Democratic Action and Minister of Education in its first government (1947–1948), he was a leader of Democratic Action after the restoration of democracy in 1958. He split from Democratic Action in 1967 when it tried to prevent his victory in district-level primary elections for the 1968 presidential race translating into Prieto Figueroa winning the nomination. He and a substantial group of supporters split from AD and founded the People's Electoral Movement, which he led until his death.
