Miralem Pjanić is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Spanish club Barcelona and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Andrea Petkovic is a German tennis player. Born in Tuzla, SFR Yugoslavia, to Serbian father Zoran and Bosniak mother Amira, she moved to Germany at six months old and turned professional in 2006 at the age of 18. A former top-10 player, Petkovic reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 9 on 10 October 2011, becoming the first German female player ranked inside the top 10 since Steffi Graf in 1999. That year, she reached the quarterfinals at three Grand Slam tournaments as well as a Premier Mandatory final at the China Open, and qualified as an alternate to the WTA Tour Championships.

Jusuf Nurkić is a Bosnian professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 11 in (2.11 m) tall and weighing 290 lb (132 kg) the center was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 16th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He also represents the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team internationally.

Biljana Plavšić is a Bosnian Serb former politician and University Professor who served as President of Republika Srpska and was later convicted of crimes against humanity for her role in the Bosnian War.

Maja Sarihodžić, known by her stage name Maya Sar, is a Bosnian singer-songwriter. Sar represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Korake ti znam". Her debut album Krive riječi was released 1 June 2013.

Emir Hadžihafizbegović is a Bosnian actor. Often regarded as one of the best Bosnian actors, he has appeared in over fifty films including When Father Was Away on Business (1985), Remake (2003), Fuse (2003), Days and Hours (2004), The Border Post (2006), Grbavica (2006), Armin (2007), Death of a Man in the Balkans (2012), Vegetarian Cannibal (2012) and These Are the Rules (2014).
