Alain Sutter is a Swiss football former player who was one of the most successful Swiss players during the 1990s.

Roland Wiesendanger is a German physicist, specializing in nanoscience. Since 1993 he has been a full professor at the University of Hamburg, Germany, where he established a National Center of Competence in Nanotechnology. He has been awarded three times in a row with the ERC Advanced Grant of the European Research Council as first scientist in Europe. In the Laudatio for the International Julius Springer Prize for Applied Physics (2016), his pioneering work on Spin-Polarized Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Magnetic Exchange Force Microscopy, which allow for investigations of the magnetism of individual atoms on surfaces as well as the spin structure of solid surfaces with atomic resolution, was highlighted.

Marco Borradori is a Swiss lawyer and politician. Since 2013, he has been mayor of Lugano. His political party is the Lega dei Ticinesi.

Lara Joy Dickenmann is a Swiss footballer who plays for German club VfL Wolfsburg, after seven-season stint with French club Olympique Lyonnais. She is a versatile footballer who can play as a midfielder or a full-back on either side of the field. She formerly played on the college level at the Ohio State University breaking many records and earning several player honors. In 2008, Dickenmann departed the university and joined D1 Féminine club Lyon.

Linda Fäh is a Swiss singer, model and beauty pageant titleholder. She won the Miss Switzerland title in 2009. Although Fäh was a favorite for 2010 Miss Universe pageant, she failed to place. As an attempt to start her musical career, Linda released an album in September 2015 under the label Telamo (Warner). The album is titled "Du Kannst Fliegen".

Tom Kummer is a Swiss journalist who published numerous celebrity profiles in Germany and Switzerland. Kummer never even met his subjects. His primary publisher, Süddeutsche Zeitung issued a public apology for running Kummer's stories, calling them "a betrayal of monumental proportions". His work was also published in Der Spiegel, Stern, the Tagesanzeiger, the Berner Zeitung, and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Because of the timespan in which his bogus reporting appeared in print, he has earned comparisons to Jayson Blair and Stephen Glass.
