Previously an anti-apartheid activist, trade union leader and businessman, Ramaphosa served as Deputy President to President Jacob Zuma and Chairman of the National Planning Commission from 2014 to 2018.

Tshepo Motsepe is a South African physician and businesswoman. She is the First Lady of South Africa of Tswana descent, as the wife of Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of South Africa. She is the older sister of Bridgette Radebe and her brother is Patrice Motsepe.

The anniversary of his death is designated Youth Day, when South Africans honour young people and bring attention to their needs.
