Darja Švajger is one of Slovenia's most popular singers, perhaps best known internationally for having represented her country in the Eurovision Song Contest on two occasions.

Bishop Peter Štumpf, S.D.B. is a Slovenian Roman Catholic prelate who serves as the second Bishop of the Diocese of Murska Sobota since 28 November 2009. Previously he was a Titular Bishop of Musti in Numidia and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Maribor from 24 May 2006 until 28 November 2009.

Boštjan "Boki" Nachbar is a Slovenian former professional basketball player. A 2.06 m forward, he spent most of his career between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the EuroLeague. Nachbar helped lead the Slovenian national basketball team to a fourth place at EuroBasket 2009.

Domen Novak is a Slovenian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Team Bahrain Victorious. He was named in the startlist for the 2017 Vuelta a España. In May 2018, he was named in the startlist for the 2018 Giro d'Italia.

Uroš Umek, better known as DJ Umek or simply Umek, is a Slovenian dance music composer and DJ. Musically active since 1993, he is the owner of several techno record labels. In 1999 he founded Consumer Recreation and Recycled Loops, the former of which he co-runs with Valentino Kanzyani. Recycled Loops formed the sublabel Earresistible Musick in 2001, and in 2007 Umek founded the large techno label 1605.

Ljudmila Novak is a Slovenian politician and a former Member of the European Parliament. She is the president of the New Slovenia – Christian People's Party. Since 21 December 2011, she has been the vice-president of the Slovenian National Assembly.
