Jozef Chovanec is a Czechoslovak former professional football player and manager.

Andrej Hlinka was a Slovak Catholic priest, journalist, banker, and politician, one of the most important Slovak public activists in Czechoslovakia before Second World War. He was the leader of the Hlinka's Slovak People's Party, papal chamberlain, inducted papal protonotary, member of the National Assembly of Czechoslovakia, and chairman of the St. Vojtech Fellowship.

Ján Chryzostom Korec, SJ was a Slovak Jesuit priest and a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He was ordained as a priest in 1950 and consecrated as a bishop in 1951.

Miroslav Lajčák is a Slovak politician and diplomat, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic. In addition, Lajčak also served as President of the United Nations General Assembly for the 72nd session from 2017 until 2018.

Eva Sládeková is a Slovak badminton player. She is a two-time national badminton champion in the women's singles, and also, a member of the badminton team for M-Šport Trenčín Club, under her personal coach and former partner Michal Matejka.

Ján Svorada is a retired Slovak and Czech road racing cyclist. Svorada was born in Czechoslovakia; when that country split up in 1993, Svorada raced for Slovakia until 1996, when he started racing for the Czech Republic.

Dušan Uhrin is a Czech and Slovak football coach and former player. He was the coach of Slovan Bratislava. Although he was born in the Nitra District in the Slovak part of Czechoslovakia, he has lived in Prague since the age of 16.

Martin Velits is a Slovakian former road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2007 and 2017 for the Wiesenhof, Team Milram, HTC–Highroad and Quick-Step Floors teams. His twin brother, Peter Velits, also competed as a professional cyclist.
