Courtney Keith "Bingo" Allen was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and National Hockey League (NHL) head coach and general manager. He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was the executive vice-president of the Philadelphia Flyers, a position he held from 1980 for the rest of his life.

Ronald John Greschner is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 16 seasons between 1974 and 1990.

Harmon Clifford Jones was a Canadian-born film editor and director who worked for many years at the 20th Century-Fox studio in Southern California. He is credited as the editor for about 20 feature films through 1950. In the middle of his career, he became a film and television director. Between 1951 and 1969, he directed about fifteen feature films as well as dozens of episodes of popular television series of the 1950s and 1960s.

Claire Lovett was a Canadian badminton and tennis player who competed from the 1940s to 1990s. As a badminton player, Lovett won singles and doubles titles at the Canadian National Badminton Championships from 1947 to 1949. She later won at the mixed doubles event during the 1963 Canadian Open. Apart from badminton, Lovett won sixteen Vancouver Lawn Tennis Club championships between 1946 and 1967. She was inducted into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 1972 and BC Sports Hall of Fame in 1975.

Dorothy Louise Walton,, née McKenzie was a Canadian badminton player who is the only Canadian ever to win the All England Open Badminton Championships, winning the Women's Singles in 1939.

Ernest Charles Manning,, a Canadian politician, was the eighth premier of Alberta between 1943 and 1968 for the Social Credit Party of Alberta. He served longer than any other premier in the province's history and was the second longest serving provincial premier in Canadian history. He was also the only member of the Social Credit Party of Canada to sit in the Senate and, with the party shut out of the House of Commons in 1980, was its last representative in Parliament when he retired from the Senate in 1983.

Wendel L. Clark is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. His professional career lasted from 1985 until 2000, during which time he played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Quebec Nordiques, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. He was chosen first overall in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft by the Maple Leafs, the team he played with on three occasions, captaining the team from 1991 to 1994. A fan favourite in the city, Clark has been cited by multiple current NHL players as a boyhood idol.
