Vladimir Pištalo is a Serbian American writer, most notably winning the NIN Award for novel of the year in 2008.

Branko Crvenkovski is a Macedonian politician who served as Prime Minister of Macedonia from 1992 to 1998 and again from 2002 to 2004, and as President of Macedonia from 2004 to 2009. He was also leader of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia.

Mustafa Mujezinović was a Bosnian politician who served as the 7th Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 2009 to 2011. In Sarajevo, he finished elementary school in 1970, and high school in 1974. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo in 1978.

Zdravko Čolić is a pop singer from Bosnia and Herzegovina, widely considered as one of the greatest vocalists and cultural icons of former Yugoslavia. Dubbed the 'Tom Jones' of the Balkans he has garnered notoriety in Southeastern Europe for his emotionally expressive tenor voice, fluent stage presence and numerous critically and commercially acclaimed albums and singles.

Dalibor Brozović was a Croatian linguist, Slavist, dialectologist and politician. He studied the history of standard languages in the Slavic region, especially Croatian. He was an active Esperantist since 1946, and wrote Esperanto poetry as well as translated works into the language.

Denis Zvizdić is a Bosnian politician who is a member of the House of Representatives. From 31 March 2015 until 23 December 2019, he was the 9th Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
