Pasteur Bizimungu was the third President of Rwanda, holding office from 19 July 1994 until 23 March 2000.

Adrien Niyonshuti is a Rwandan former professional bicycle racer, who rode professionally for Team Dimension Data from 2009 to 2017. He now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team Skol Adrien Cycling Academy. Although he survived, six of Niyonshuti's brothers were killed in the Rwandan genocide of 1994. Niyonshuti began riding a bicycle given to him by his uncle as a teenager, when he came to the attention of former professional cyclist Jacques Boyer in 2006 during the first Wooden Bike Classic.

Bernard Makuza is a Rwandan politician who was Prime Minister of Rwanda from 8 March 2000 to 6 October 2011. He also served as President of the Senate of Rwanda from 14 October 2014 to 17 October 2019

Smaragde Mbonyintege is the Catholic Bishop of Kabgayi, in Rwanda.

Anastase Murekezi is a Rwandan politician. He studied in Groupe Scolaire Officiel de Butare (GSOB) and went on to Louvain-La-Neuve University in Belgium to study agriculture. He was the minister of Public service and labor until 23 July 2014 when he was nominated by President Paul Kagame as the Prime Minister of Rwanda.

Dismas Nsengiyaremye served as Prime Minister of Rwanda from 2 April 1992 to 18 July 1993.
