Ali Isayev
Ali Isaevich Isaev is a Dagestani-Azerbaijani professional mixed martial artist and former amateur wrestler. He currently competes in the Heavyweight division of Bellator MMA. He has also formely compe ted for Fight Nights Global and Professional Fighters League (PFL), where he was the 2019 Heavyweight Tournament Champion. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in men's freestyle wrestling at 125 kilos where Isaev placed 17th.

Magomedsalam Magomedaliyevich Magomedov is a Russian politician who served as the 3rd Head of the Republic of Dagestan, a federal subject of the Russian Federation found in the North Caucasus region, from 2010 to 2013. His appointment by the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev was approved by the parliament of Dagestan on February 10, 2010. Magomedov is an ethnic Dargin. His father, Magomedali Magomedov, served as President of Dagestan between 1987 and 2006. It is his stated ambition as president to consolidate and modernise the republic to counter the threat of Islamic extremism, in particular the attempts made to undermine and terrorise the republic by supporters of the so-called Caucasus Emirate. His resignation was accepted by President Vladimir Putin on January 28, 2013.

Ali Abu Mukhammad
Aliaskhab Alibulatovich Kebekov, also known as Ali Abu Muhammad, was a Dagestani militant Islamist in Russia and the leader of the Caucasus Emirate following the death of inaugural leader Dokka Umarov. Following in the same religious tradition as Umarov, he adhered to the ideology of Salafism. The United States Department of State added Kebekov to its list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists on March 25, 2015. On 19 April 2015, Kebekov was killed by Russian security forces during special operations in the settlement of Gerei-Avlak in Buynaksk. An Avar by nationality, Kebekov was the first non-Chechen to lead the North Caucasus insurgency.
