Robert Herzog (1823–1886) was the Roman Catholic diocesan Bishop of Wrocław in 1882–1886.

Hans Petersson was a German mathematician. He introduced the Petersson inner product and is also known for the Ramanujan–Petersson conjecture.

Georg Max Thiele was an Imperial German Navy officer Korvettenkapitän killed during World War I. During World War I he commanded the Seventh Half Flotilla of torpedo boats, based in Flanders. His ship, Torpedoboot SMS S119, was sunk with his entire flotilla by superior British forces while on a minelaying mission in October 1914 during the Battle off Texel.

Ernst Heinrich Wilhelm von Stephan was a general post director for the German Empire who reorganized the German postal service. He was integral in the founding of the Universal Postal Union in 1874, and in 1877 introduced the telephone to Germany.

Hugo Döblin was a German stage and film actor. He appeared in more than eighty films, most of them during the silent era. The Jewish Döblin left Germany following the Nazi Party's rise to power in 1933, and after moving first to Czechoslovakia and Austria, eventually settled in Switzerland. His younger brother was novelist, essayist, and doctor Alfred Döblin (1878–1957).

Wilhelm Eduard Albrecht was a German constitutional lawyer, jurist, and docent. Albrecht was most notable as a member of the Göttingen Seven, a group of academics who in 1837 protested against the abrogation of the constitution of the Kingdom of Hanover by King Ernest Augustus.

Johann (Hans) Hermann Schrader was a German classical archaeologist and art historian.
