Ryszard Marcin Wolny is a Polish wrestler and Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling.

Damian Halata is a former German international football player. He was born in Świętochłowice, Silesia, Poland. After his playing career, Halata became a manager.

Józef Antoni Franciszek Elsner was a composer, music teacher, and music theoretician, active mainly in Warsaw. He was one of the first composers in Poland to weave elements of folk music into his works.

Sylwester Szmyd is a Polish former professional road bicycle racer who last rode for UCI Professional Continental team CCC Development Team. Born in Bydgoszcz, Szmyd is a climber who serves as a leader in smaller stage races, and as a strong mountain domestique for his team leaders in the Grand Tours; he has completed each of the 23 Grand Tours that he has started during his career.

Elisabeth Catherina Koopmann-Hevelius is considered one of the first female astronomers. She is from Danzig and contributed to improve the work and observations done together with her husband Johannes Hevelius.

Joanna Grażyna Kluzik-Rostkowska is a Polish politician and member of the Sejm for Civic Platform. She was elected for Law and Justice in 2007, but led a breakaway group in 2010 to form the more liberal Poland Comes First, of which she was leader. She resigned from the party in June 2011, joining Civic Platform following rumors. In November 2013, following a cabinet reshuffle by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Kluzik-Rostkowska was appointed to head the Ministry of National Education.

Joanna Sulej is a Polish figure skater who competed as both a single skater and pair skater.

Józef Drzazga (1914–1978) was a Polish Catholic priest, bishop of Warmia from 1972 to 1978. He was the first post-World War II bishop on that post. He has been a titular bishop of Sinidado in Warmia since 1958.

Gilda Gray was a Polish-American dancer and actress who popularized a dance called the "shimmy" which became fashionable in 1920s films and theater productions.

Stanisław Karnkowski of Junosza (1520–1603) was the Great Referendary of the Polish Crown, the Great Secretary of Poland, bishop of Włocławek (1567-1580) as well as archbishop of Gniezno and Primate of Poland. He served during the Interrex in 1586–1587, before the coronation of Sigismund III Vasa.
