Henry Robinson Luce was an American magazine magnate who was called "the most influential private citizen in the America of his day". He launched and closely supervised a stable of magazines that transformed journalism and the reading habits of millions of Americans. Time summarized and interpreted the week's news; Life was a picture magazine of politics, culture, and society that dominated American visual perceptions in the era before television; Fortune reported on national and international business; and Sports Illustrated explored the world of sports. Counting his radio projects and newsreels, Luce created the first multimedia corporation. He envisaged that the United States would achieve world hegemony, and, in 1941, he declared the 20th century would be the "American Century".

Xu Xiaodong, nicknamed "Mad Dog", is a Chinese mixed martial artist (MMA) who is known for challenging and fighting fraudulent martial artists. He gained prominence online after he was filmed defeating self-proclaimed Tai chi master Wei Lei in 2017.

Liu Xiaoming is a Chinese diplomat who has served as the current Ambassador of China to the United Kingdom since 2010 under Chinese leaders Hu Jintao (2010–2012) and Xi Jinping (2012–present). In December 2020, it was announced that he will retire as ambassador and will be replaced by Zheng Zeguang.

He Hongshan, also known as Viva Ho, is a Chinese actress and model. She rose to prominence for her lead role in youth drama Back in Time, and subsequently appeared in a number of television series including Above The Clouds (2017), The Evolution of Our Love (2018) and Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace (2018).

Kenneth Hsien-yung Pai is a Chinese writer from Taiwan who has been described as a "melancholy pioneer." He was born in Guilin, Guangxi at the cusp of the Second Sino-Japanese War. Pai's father was the famous Kuomintang (KMT) general Bai Chongxi, whom he later described as a "stern, Confucian father" with "some soft spots in his heart." Pai was diagnosed with tuberculosis at the age of seven, during which time he would have to live in a separate house from his siblings. He lived with his family in Chongqing, Shanghai, and Nanjing before moving to the British-controlled Hong Kong in 1948 as CPC forces turned the tide of the Chinese Civil War. In 1952, Pai and his family resettled in Taiwan, where the KMT had relocated the Republic of China after defeat by the Communists in 1949.

Bao Tong is a Chinese writer and activist. He was former Director of the Office of Political Reform of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Policy Secretary of Zhao Ziyang, Chinese Premier from 1980 to 1987 and CPC General Secretary from 1987 to 1989. He was also Director of the Drafting Committee for the CPC 13th Party Congresses, known for its strong support for market reform and opening up under Deng Xiaoping. Prior to this, he was a committee member and then Deputy Director of the Chinese State Commission for Economic Reform.

Sihung Lung was a Taiwanese movie and TV actor. He appeared in over 100 films and TV series throughout his career and was best known for playing paternal roles in films such as Eat Drink Man Woman and The Wedding Banquet. He frequently collaborated with award-winning director Ang Lee.

Na Ying is a Chinese singer and musical judge. She is known for her prominent recent roles as a judge on Chinese TV singing shows such as The Voice of China.

Yang Rudai was a politician of the People's Republic of China (PRC). He served as the Communist Party Chief of Sichuan, then China's most populous province, and was the first native Sichuanese to become the top leader of the province since the founding of the PRC. He was a member of the 13th Politburo of the Communist Party of China, the top governing body of China. Yang was considered a protégé of the purged reformist leader Zhao Ziyang.

Chen Yao is a Chinese actress. She is known for her role as Yue Qiluo in Wu Xin: The Monster Killer (2015).
