Hu Qiaomu was a sociologist, Marxist philosopher and politician of the People's Republic of China. He opposed the reform and opening up era of economic reform that followed the death of Mao Zedong.

Huang Jing, born Yu Qiwei, was a Chinese Communist revolutionary and politician who served as Mayor and Communist Party Chief of Tianjin municipality, Minister of the First Ministry of Machine Building, and Chairman of the National Technological Commission. He was an ex-husband of Jiang Qing, who later married Mao Zedong, and the father of Yu Qiangsheng, a top Chinese intelligence officer who defected to the United States in 1985, and Yu Zhengsheng, the fourth-ranked member of the 18th Politburo Standing Committee.

Sha Fei was a Chinese photojournalist and war photographer best known for his work with the Chinese Communist Party during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–45). Born Situ Chuan (司徒传), he took the pseudonym Sha Fei, that is, a grain of sand in the sky of his country. He has been called "one of the most admired Leftist photographers in China during the wartime years of 1937–1949", and "one of the most influential photographers of his generation". His "warm, dramatic, and ideologically-charged photographic presentations were emulated for decades thereafter".

Ai Wenli is a former Chinese politician who served as the Vice-Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Previously, he served as the head of the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China Hebei Committee and the Mayor of Shijiazhuang. He was placed under investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission shortly after his retirement. Ai is the first leader of vice-ministerial level to spontaneously hand himself in to the anti-corruption agency of China after the implementation of Supervision Law in March 2018.

Yang Xinhai, also known as Yang Zhiya, and Yang Liu, was a Chinese serial killer who confessed to committing 67 murders and 23 rapes between 1999 and 2003, and was sentenced to death and executed for 67. He was dubbed the "Monster Killer" by the media. He is the most prolific known serial killer China has seen since the establishment of the People's Republic of China in 1949.

Tam Kong Pak was a Chinese former footballer who played as a forward for the Chinese national football team in 1934. He also represented his nation at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.

Emperor Hui of Han or Han Huidi was the second emperor of the Han dynasty in ancient China. He was the second son of Emperor Gaozu, the first Han emperor, and Empress Lü from the powerful Lü clan. Han Huidi is generally remembered as a somewhat weak character dominated and terrorized by his mother, Lü.

Hao Zhao, courtesy name Bodao, was a military general of the state of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period of China. He is best known for his victory at the Siege of Chencang in 229 when he led a successful defence of Chencang against an invasion by a much larger army from Wei's rival state Shu Han. However, he died of illness not long after that.
