Zhang Jinlai, better known by his stage name Liu Xiao Ling Tong, is a Chinese actor, best known for his role as the Monkey King in the 1986 television series Journey to the West adapted from the classic Chinese novel of the same name. Zhang adopted his father Zhang Zongyi's stage name, Liu Ling Tong, and amended it to Liu Xiao Ling Tong.

Chen Quanguo is a Chinese politician and current Communist Party Secretary of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and a member of the 19th Politburo of the Communist Party of China. Most recently, he was the Communist Party Secretary of Tibet Autonomous Region. Originally from Henan province, Chen was among the first batch of students to graduate university after the resumption of Gaokao examinations in 1978.

Guan Zhe, Also known as Grady Guan is a Chinese pop singer and songwriter. He was a contestant on The Voice of China, which featured Liu Huan, Na Ying, Yang Kun and Harlem Yu as judges. In January 2016, he has been selected to be a season 4 contestant on I Am a Singer.

Chiang Hsiao-chang is the only daughter of Chiang Ching-kuo, the President of the Republic of China in Taiwan from 1978 to 1988. Her mother is Faina Ipatyevna Vakhreva, also known as Chiang Fang-liang. She had one older brother, Hsiao-wen, and two younger brothers, Hsiao-wu and Hsiao-yung. She is the only living member of Chiang Ching-kuo's legitimate children, and was the only one among the siblings who could converse in Russian with their mother. She also has twin half-brothers, Winston Chang and John Chiang, with whom she shares the same father. She attended Mills College and was featured in LIFE during her college years. She was married to Yu Yang-ho until his death in 2010; he was the son of former Taiwan defense minister Yu Ta-wei. She and Yu have one son, Theodore Yu Tsu-sheng.

Xu Jiao is a Chinese actress. She made her film debut in the 2008 sci-fi film CJ7 where she played a boy, and won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best New Performer. She is also known for the films Starry Starry Night (2011) and Mr. Go (2013).

Ken Narita was a Japanese vocalist who primarily sang anison, or anime theme songs. He was most known for being the singer of the theme songs "For Who's Sake" of the 1979 anime Cyborg 009 and "Oh, Denshi Sentai Denziman" of the 1980 Super Sentai series, Denshi Sentai Denziman. He released Super Best! For Whom?: Ken Narita History , a compilation of his works.

Li Qingzhao, pseudonym Householder of Yi'an (易安居士), was a Chinese poet and essayist during the Song dynasty. She is considered one of the greatest poets in Chinese history.

Li Wangyang was a Chinese dissident labor rights activist, member of the Workers Autonomous Federation and chairman of the Shaoyang WAF branch. Following his role in the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, he served twenty-one years in prison on charges of counterrevolutionary propaganda, incitement, and subversion. Of all Chinese pro-democracy activists from 1989, Li spent the longest time in prison. On 6 June 2012, one year after his release from prison, and a few days after a television interview in which he continued to call for vindication of the Tiananmen Square protests, Li was found hanged in a hospital room. Shaoyang city authorities initially claimed suicide was the cause of death, but it was revised to 'accidental death' after the autopsy.
