Alexander Mebane, Jr. was a U.S. Congressman from the state of North Carolina from 1793 to 1795. He was also a brigadier general in the North Carolina militia during the Revolutionary War.

Patrick R. Donahoe was the 73rd United States Postmaster General, having been appointed to the post on October 25, 2010. A 35-year veteran of the Postal Service, he reported to the Postal Service Board of Governors.

William Evans Crow was an American lawyer and Republican party politician from Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He served in the Pennsylvania State Senate from 1907 until 1921, and was the body's President pro tempore in 1911. In 1921, he was appointed to the United States Senate, after Philander C. Knox died in office. Crow himself died in office less than a year after his appointment.

William Thompson Price was an American lawyer and Republican politician. He represented Wisconsin's 8th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 1883 until his death, and was succeeded by his son, Hugh H. Price. He is the namesake of Price County, Wisconsin.
