Joan Bennett
Joan Geraldine Bennett was an American stage, film, and television actress. She came from a show-business family, one of three acting sisters. Beginning her career on the stage, Bennett appeared in more than 70 films from the era of silent movies, well into the sound era. She is best remembered for her film noir femme fatale roles in director Fritz Lang's movies—including Man Hunt (1941), The Woman in the Window (1944) and Scarlet Street (1945)—and for her television role as matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard in the gothic 1960s soap opera Dark Shadows, for which she received an Emmy nomination in 1968.
Morton Stevens
Morton Stevens was an American film score composer. In 1965, he became director of music for CBS West Coast operations. He is probably best known for composing the theme music for Hawaii Five-O, a CBS television series for which he won two Emmy Awards in 1970 and 1974. Stevens was taught by Oscar-winning composer Jerry Goldsmith, with whom he frequently collaborated on other projects.
Charlotte Osgood Mason
Charlotte Osgood Mason, born Charlotte Louise Van der Veer Quick, was an American socialite and philanthropist. She contributed more than $100,000 to a number of African-American artists and writers of the Harlem Renaissance, equal to more than $1 million in 2003. This was especially critical during the Great Depression, when foundation support declined. She helped young artists become established.
David Grisman
David Grisman is an American mandolinist. His music combines bluegrass, folk, and jazz in a genre he calls "Dawg music". He founded the record label Acoustic Disc, which issues his recordings and those of other acoustic musicians.
Ted Prior
Ted Prior is an American actor, film producer, bodybuilder and model. He is known for his frequent lead roles in action films directed by his brother David A. Prior. Born in Newark, New Jersey, Prior first moved to Los Angeles, California in the late 1970s to pursue his career as a bodybuilder. By the early 1980s he and he worked as a dancer for the troupe Chippendales, and was a centrefold model for Playgirl magazine. In this area, Prior made his acting debut with a lead in the horror film Sledgehammer (1983) and another one in the actioner Killzone (1985) both directed by his brother David.
