List of Famous people born in March

Sayajirao Gaekwad III was the Maharaja of Baroda State from 1875 to 1939, and is remembered for reforming much of his state during his rule. He belonged to the royal Gaekwad dynasty of the Marathas which ruled parts of present-day Gujarat.

Robert Eden Duncombe Shafto of Whitworth Hall, Spennymoor, County Durham, was a British politician. He was Member of Parliament (MP) for the City of Durham from 1804 to 1806. He served as High Sheriff of Durham in 1842.

Harry Max Harrison was an American science fiction author, known mostly for his character The Stainless Steel Rat and for his novel Make Room! Make Room! (1966). The latter was the rough basis for the motion picture Soylent Green (1973). Long resident in both Ireland and the United Kingdom, Harrison was involved in the foundation of the Irish Science Fiction Association, and was, with Brian Aldiss, co-president of the Birmingham Science Fiction Group.

Stanislav Genrikhovich Neuhaus was a Soviet-Russian classical pianist.

Michel Jules Alfred Bréal, French philologist, was born at Landau in Rhenish Palatinate. He is often identified as a founder of modern semantics.

Sun-Yung Alice Chang is a Taiwanese American mathematician specializing in aspects of mathematical analysis ranging from harmonic analysis and partial differential equations to differential geometry. She is the Eugene Higgins Professor of Mathematics at Princeton University.
