Al Jolson was a Lithuanian-born American singer, comedian, and actor. Jolson has been dubbed "the king of blackface" performers, a theatrical convention since the mid-19th century. He was also dubbed "The World's Greatest Entertainer" at the peak of his career. His performing style was brash and extroverted, and he popularized many songs that benefited from his "shamelessly sentimental, melodramatic approach." In the 1920s, Jolson was America's most famous and highest-paid entertainer.

Natalya Zasulskaya is a Russian former basketball player who competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics, in the 1992 Summer Olympics, and in the 2000 Summer Olympics. She was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame, in 2010.

Agniya Lvovna Barto was a Soviet poet and children's writer of Russian Jewish origin.

Ričardas Berankis is a Lithuanian professional tennis player and a prominent member of the Lithuania Davis Cup team. He is the first and only Lithuanian to enter the ATP top 50 making him the highest ranked Lithuanian tennis player of all time. Berankis has reached two finals on the ATP World Tour, at the Los Angeles Open in 2012 and Kremlin Cup in 2017.

Ignas "Iggy" Brazdeikis is a Lithuanian-born Canadian professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines. Brazdeikis is a right-handed athlete who shoots left-handed in basketball. He has represented the Canadian national teams in junior levels. During the season, he established a Michigan record by earning four Big Ten Freshmen of the week awards and was included on both the John Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 and Late Season Top 20 watchlists. As a freshman, he was a 2019 Second team All-Big Ten selection, the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and a Big Ten All-Freshman honoree. Brazdeikis was selected with the 47th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings, and was then traded to the New York Knicks.

Pyotr Nikolayevich Wrangel was a Russian officer of Baltic German origin in the Imperial Russian Army. During the later stages of the Russian Civil War, he was commanding general of the anti-Bolshevik White Army in Southern Russia. After his side lost the civil war in 1920, he left Russia. He was known as one of the most prominent exiled White émigrés and military dictator of the South Russia.

Asaf Mikhailovich Messerer was a highly influential Soviet ballet dancer and ballet teacher. He was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. From 1919 until 1921 he trained as a dancer at the Moscow Bolshoi Ballet School. He then joined the Bolshoi Theatre, where he became one of its most important principal soloists, a position he retired from in 1954.

Juras Požela was a Lithuanian politician who served as the Minister of Health of Lithuania from March 2016 until his death on 16 October 2016 from pancreatitis. He was also a Seimas member, Youth and Sports Affairs Committee Chairman and a presidium member of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania.

Giedrė Barauskaitė better known by her stage mononym GiedRé or Giedré, is a Lithuanian-born singer-songwriter comedian based in France.

Teodor Shanin was a British sociologist who was for many years Professor of Sociology at the University of Manchester. He was credited with pioneering the study of Russian peasantry in the West, and is best known for his first book, The Awkward Class, Political Sociology of Peasantry in a Developing Society, Russia, 1910-25. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Shanin moved to Russia where, with funding from The Open Society Institute, Ford Foundation and others, he founded the Moscow School for the Social and Economic Sciences in 1995. Shanin was President of the Moscow School, Professor Emeritus of the University of Manchester, and an Honorary Fellow of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
