Igor Andreyevich Kobzar is a Kirgiz-born Russian volleyball player. He is a member of the Russia men's national volleyball team and Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Irina Viktorovna Gaidamachuk is a Russian serial killer who killed 17 elderly women in Sverdlovsk Oblast between 2002 and 2010.

Igor Bobkov is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender. He currently plays for Avangard Omsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He was previously under a two-way contract with the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL), however never featured with the Ducks. Before playing professional hockey, Bobkov spent time in the Ontario Hockey League with the London Knights and Kingston Frontenacs. Bobkov represents Russia internationally, and helped them win a gold medal at the 2011 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

Eugeni Leonidovitsch Redkine, known as Eugeni Redkine, is a former Russian biathlete. He won a surprising gold medal over 20 kilometres ahead of Mark Kirchner and Mikael Löfgren at the 1992 Winter Olympics.

Yevgeny Alexandrovich Dementyev is a Russian cross-country skier. He attended Children and Youth Sports School of Sovetsky District, Khanty–Mansi Autonomous Okrug, where his first trainer was Valery Ukhov. Dementyev's first international success was in 2001 at the Junior World Championship. He won two medals at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, with a gold in the men's 15 km + 15 km pursuit event and a silver in the men's 50 km freestyle mass start.
