Giuseppe Piazzi was an Italian Catholic priest of the Theatine order, mathematician, and astronomer. He established an observatory at Palermo, now the Osservatorio Astronomico di Palermo – Giuseppe S. Vaiana. Perhaps his most famous discovery was the first dwarf planet, Ceres.

Adolfo Ferrari was an Italian cyclist. He competed in the individual and team road race events at the 1948 Summer Olympics.

Vittorio Mangano was a member of the Sicilian Mafia or Cosa Nostra. He was well known as the stable keeper at the villa of Silvio Berlusconi in Arcore in the 1970s and as such Mangano is known as "lo stalliere di Arcore". Berlusconi later became Prime Minister of Italy.

Gualtiero Bassetti is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who has been Archbishop of Perugia-Città della Pieve since 2009. He has been a bishop since 1994 and was made a cardinal in 2014. He began a five-year term as president of the Italian Episcopal Conference in May 2017.

Giovanni Pietro Toesca was an Italian academic and art historian, notable as one of the most important historians of medieval to 20th century art. His La pittura e la miniatura nella Lombardia fino alla metà del Quattrocento was the first attempt to reconstruct the course of figurative Lombard art from the middle ages onwards, defining its importance across Europe.

Ellis Rastelli is an Italian former professional racing cyclist. He rode in four editions of the Giro d'Italia.

Carlo Chiappano was an Italian racing cyclist. He won stage 10 of the 1969 Giro d'Italia. He also won the 1969 Tirreno–Adriatico. He rode in nine editions of the Giro d'Italia, as well as three editions of the Tour de France.

Enrico Zaina is an Italian former road bicycle racer. Zaina turned professional in 1989. He won a stage of 1995 Giro d'Italia and two stages of 1996 Giro d'Italia, where he finished second behind Pavel Tonkov. He also won a stage of 1992 Vuelta a España.

Marcello Capra is an Italian guitarist. His style enables the listener to hear a rhythm although everything is played on guitar.
