Dhurgham Ismail Dawoud Al-Quraishi, known as Dhurgham Ismail, is an Iraqi professional footballer who plays as a left back or left winger for Iraqi Premier League club Al Zawraa and for the Iraqi national team.

Sa'dun Hammadi was briefly Prime Minister of Iraq under President Saddam Hussein from March until September 1991. He succeeded Hussein, who had previously been prime minister in addition to being president, but was forced out due to his reformist views.

Hisham ibn al-Kalbi, also known as Ibn al-Kalbi was an Arab historian. His full name Abu al-Mundhir Hisham bin Muhammed bin al-Sa'ib bin Bishr al-Kalbi. Born in Kufa, he spent much of his life in Baghdad. Like his father, he collected information about the genealogies and history of the ancient Arabs. According to the Fihrist, he wrote 140 works. His account of the genealogies of the Arabs is continually quoted in the Kitab al-Aghani.

Ahlam Wehbi was an Iraqi singer and actress. She started singing in 1957 and acted in several films.

Mohannad Abdul-Raheem Karrar, is an Iraqi footballer who plays for Al-Zawraa and the Iraq national team. An Olympian, Mohannad is the 2012 Asian Young Footballer of the Year, and the 2012 AFC U-19 Championship's MVP.

Florence Ezekiel or Nadira, commonly known as Nadira was an Indian actress in Bollywood films. She appeared in films from the 1950s and 1960s, including Aan (1952), Shree 420 (1955), Pakeezah (1972) and Julie (1975), which won her the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award.
